Carrie Underwood will perform a free live virtual concert of the songs on her new album, My Savior, from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Easter Sunday (April 4th) on her Facebook page at 11 a.m. CT. Donations from the show will benefit Save the Children.
Underwood said, “This is an album I have always wanted to record and I’m thrilled to be able to bring these uplifting, inspirational songs to life in this special way. It means so much to be able to bring this event to people in their homes on a day that holds so much meaning for us spiritually and to be able to raise much needed funds and awareness for the incredible work of Save the Children as we celebrate the importance of family.”
The concert will feature special appearances by CeCe Winans, Bear Rinehart of the rock band NEEDTOBREATHE, Southern gospel and harmonica legend Buddy Greene, and celebrate musician Mac McAnally. Greene and McAnally both played on the album.
Fans can RSVP via Facebook.com/events and “My Savior: Live From The Ryman” will remain exclusively on Facebook for 48 hours.
The My Savior album will be released globally on CD and digitally on Friday (March 26th) and on vinyl on April 30th.
