Twenty One Pilots singer Tyler Joseph was trending on social media after tweeting his support for the Black Lives Matter movement. The singer simply tweeted yesterday (March 24th), “Black Lives Matter.”
After he sent out the tweet, a Twitter follower responded by posting a screenshot of a tweet that he sent out back in September where he cracked a joke online about using his platforms to spread a message in a since deleted tweet.
At the time, he responded, “My tweet wasn’t suppose to be about human rights. so in case you are wondering where i stand: Black Lives Matter. i just wanted to take a moment to raise awareness about something else that has meant a lot to me for a long time. but now I see there is no room for that right now.” That was followed by a tweet linking Black Lives Matter resources.
