Newcomer Lainey Wilson is making her first trip up the country charts with the song “Things A Man Oughta Know.” She co-wrote the song, as well as the remaining 11 songs on her recently-released debut album, Sayin' What I'm Thinkin'.
Lainey tells us: “Things A Man Oughta Know” is about my past experiences in relationships, both good and bad. But my parents and people I have met along the way have taught me how to treat people, and also how I want to be treated. When we sat down to write this song, I started to think, not only about the essential values that folks should know, but also about the things my parents taught me growing up that were important skills to have in my back pocket when I needed 'em.”
Lainey moved to Nashville from Louisiana at the age of 19 to pursue her musical dream. She made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry last year.
