James Taylor and Jackson Browne have pushed their joint tour dates from this spring to the summer. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for all of the rescheduled dates and fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets. Fans that are unable to attend the rescheduled date should contact their point of purchase for information on refunds.
There will be a separate announcement shortly regarding Taylor’s July 4th Tanglewood concert.
James Taylor & Jackson Browne issued a statement to fans, which reads:
We want to thank all those who have graciously held onto their tickets; we appreciate your continued patience as we navigate these unchartered waters. We didn’t want to have to cancel this tour that we’ve been waiting so long to perform together, so we’ve been working to get these dates rescheduled to a time period when the U.S. is reopened and safe to gather for a concert.
Of course we will be keeping a close eye and abide with all health and safety protocols throughout each venue and state. We can’t wait to get back on stage and see you out there soon.

During a recent chat with PBS, James Taylor spoke candidly on how he handles his music and career today: “Life for me is pretty realized. The blanks are filled in. I know who I love, I know who my family is, I know who my musical community is that I work with. I have friends who do this also, who basically say — 'Y'know, I don't think I'm that motivated by it anymore. I'm not that interested in having people's attention, or, y'know, having them focus on me.' But I seem to be endlessly interested in it and I like my audience, too. What I seem to feel more as time goes by is grateful.”
Jackson Browne, a member of both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame, was asked about what, if any, price a songwriter pays by writing songs that go deeper than romance and relationships: “Y'know, nobody wants to be scolded, or lectured, or preached to. So, it's a challenge to write songs that engage people, that challenge them to look inside themselves and examine their own feelings. The question I'm asked again, and again, and again is whether or not writing songs that have a political aspect or that have a social conscience has damaged my career. Because it's sort of a given, it's an assumption that most people make that if you go around talking about these things that you make people uncomfortable, people don't wanna hear it — and that you can't really change anything, and those who try are somewhat self-deluded.”
James Taylor’s Canadian tour with Bonnie Raitt is currently set to begin September 12th in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
