Although #RIPDMX started trending last night (April 8th), as of press time, DMX is still alive and on life support. Several blogs reported that the hip hop icon had passed but X's manager Steve Rifkind set the record straight. He said in a video posted on Instagram, “Please stop with posting with the rumors. DMX is still alive. Yes, he is on life support. But it’s not helping anybody by seeing these false rumors.”
He continued, “Let the family relax for a night. I’ve been with DMX for the past three years, so the only thing I ask is just stop with the rumors. He is still alive and he is on life support.”
Rifkind also revealed that the family plans to release a statement today (April 9th).
