Carly Pearce's latest project, 29, is a very personal album about the real life things she experienced during that time in her life. While pain was definitely a part of it, having lost her producer and friend, Busbee, and getting married to and divorced from Michael Ray, Carly's professional life took a positive turn. She scored a Number One hit with “I Hope You're Happy Now,” a song she co-wrote for 29, which won both Single of the Year and Musical Event of the Year at the ACM Awards on Sunday (April 18th) night.
Carly will close the book on 30 this weekend when she celebrates her 31st birthday on Saturday (April 24th). As she looks back on the last couple years, she tells us that good definitely came from bad. “I feel like I keep saying that 29 and 30 were the years that really tested my faith. And I think that God takes things and sometimes has to break it down to ashes in order to make something beautiful out of it. And I feel like 30 and 31, and hopefully 32, is all the good. And he uses our pain sometimes for good, and I’m grateful.”
Carly continues climbing the charts with her latest single, “Next Girl.”
