Old Dominion has made good use of the pandemic by writing and recording songs they hope to have out to fans soon. Lead singer Matthew Ramsey told reporters backstage at the ACM Awards: “We got a lot of new music that's gonna be coming out very soon, and then we have a lot of shows coming up, too. I mean, it seems like things are opening back up. We have a show starting May 4th. We're playing in Key West, Florida, so I think by the end of this year it's gonna look normal-ish so it feels great.”
Earlier this year, the band told Radio.com they had written an entire album of new material during the COVID-19 quarantine while hunkering down together in Asheville, North Carolina specifically for that purpose.
Old Dominion took home their career fourth trophy for ACM Group of the Year at the ACM Awards on Sunday (April 18th) night in Nashville.
