Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Dan + Shay and Mickey Guyton are scheduled to perform as part of the Today show's 2021 “Citi Music Series on TODAY.” Blake will be the first Country act to perform on May 21st. Coldplay, H.E.R., Maroon 5, Ben Platt and Cynthia Erivo round out the lineup of Today show performers.
The Grand Ole Opry celebrated Mother’s Day Weekend with Saturday (May 8th) night broadcast featuring performances by Russell Dickerson, Jamey Johnson & Randy Houser, Chris Lane and Opry member Steve Wariner, who was celebrating his 25th Opry anniversary. He was surprised with a visit from fellow Opry member Garth Brooks. The pair performed their hit duet “Burnin’ the Roadhouse Down,” and after the official live telecast was over, Garth and Steve stayed to play an expanded Opry show which included the pair performing Steve’s hits “What I Didn’t Do,” “The Weekend” and their duet “Longneck Bottle.”
The Grand Ole Opry will open up Grand Ole Opry performances to full-capacity for the first time in more than a year, beginning with its performance on Friday (May 14th) featuring Opry members Lorrie Morgan, the Oak Ridge Boys and more.
Walker Hayes has released new track called “Country Stuff (feat. Jake Owen).” It will be included on his new EP, also called Country Stuff, due out on June 4th.
