Kane Brown and multi-platinum singer-songwriter-producer blackbear have released a song called “Memory,” their first collaboration as artists and songwriters. Kane co-wrote the song, which will be released to Top 40 radio today (Monday, July 12th).
blackbear and Kane tells give us some backstory on “Memory”: This song kind of started out, I was on a beach riding trip with Andrew Goldstein. As Kane knows he worked with the Andrew Goldstein before on a John Legend record, and it was I was just beach vibes and I just wrote this record out and I sent it to Kane and we finally got together in the studio and made it. It’s incredible. (Kane) Yeah, I just connected with the song. Just because I feel like it’s hard for me to be able to connect with a lot of people in my personal life. And a lot of times I feel like I’m alone. So I just really connected with songs but I could I could jump on.”
“Memory” follows Kane's other successful cross-genre collaborations “Be Like That” ft. Swae Lee and Khalid and “One Thing Right” with famed DJ Marshmello.
The “Memory” music video recently made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, CMT and on the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard in New York.
Kane will participate in the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
