Clay Walker releases his first new album in 11 years called Texas To Tennessee today (Friday, July 30th). Co-produced by Jason Aldean's longtime producer Michael Knox, the 10-song collection includes Clay's latest single, “Need A Bar Sometimes.”
Clay recorded the project in both Nashville, TN and Galveston, TX, and he co-wrote all 10 of the songs on Texas To Tennessee at his producer's insistance. He tells us EXCLUSIVELY: “He did have a focus. He said, 'Clay, if I'm gonna do it I'd really like to make a record that's just about your life, that's all you.' He said, 'I'd like you to write every song on it.' That was the biggest element is that we had to have something that would A, lyrically stand up and sonically stand up to whatever's out there at radio or just in the market right now.”
Clay's last album, She Won't Be Lonely Long, was released in 2010.
