After missing three Hella Mega Tour dates when an unidentified team member contracted Covid-19, Fall Out Boy returned to the road Tuesday night at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Bassist Pete Wentz told the crowd at the beginning of the band's hour long set, “This week has been a bit of a cluster f*ck for our band. But we appreciate you guys being here with us — maybe us being here with you.” The band then performed “Uma Thurman.”
Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo also celebrated Fall Out Boy’s return. During his band's set, he said, “Fall Out Boy’s back! Very excited.” Noting that Weezer had played “Sugar, We’re Going Down”in their tourmate’s stead, he said, “I’m not gonna do that tonight. It would be weird. Plus, they sing it really awesome.”
