In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Billie Eilish talked about the success of her new album, Happier Than Ever.
When asked about making an album during the pandemic, she said it felt bad to say, but she couldn't have made the same album if it weren't for Covid.
Because she had a chance to slow down, it changed her creativity. She said, "Lockdown was the first break that I got in years. Actually, it was appalling because I was like, oh, my God, how many things have gone on that I haven’t even been able to look back on and breathe?"
According to Eilish, the slow time gave her a lot of self-realization and she was able to make the album because of it.
The album, Happier Than Ever, held #1 on the Billboard Top 200 for 3 consecutive weeks.
