Lewis Capaldi was named Songwriter of the Year at the ASCAP London Music Awards this week. He also won Song of the Year and Top Streaming Song for “Someone You Loved.”
“Before You Go,” picked up a trophy for the category of Winning Hot 100. In all, the two songs earned four awards.
The ASCAP London Awards, which go to U.K. songwriters, is based on their air-play in the United States.
Due to the pandemic, the annual in-person gala was turned into an online event.
