Variety reports that “Encanto”, Disney’s animated musical, has earned $40 million since the day before Thanksgiving. Increased moviegoing indicates parents might be more willing to bring children to cinemas.
“House of Gucci” brought in $21.8 million in its first five days of release, demonstrating Lady Gaga‘s big screen appeal.
“Encanto” is a story about a family living in a magical Colombian village and stars Stephanie Beatriz of Brooklyn Nine-Nine fame.
