Travis Scott has reportedly been pulled from the lineup for the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival. According to Variety, sources say that the festival informed Travis’ agent of its intent to pull him from the bill, and that it would pay him a fee for the cancelation — which is typically 25 percent. An insider has claimed that Travis has attempted to keep his slot and even offered to forfeit his performance fee.
A Change.org petition was started in the days after the Astroworld tragedy, demanding that Travis be removed from the lineup. The petition reached over 60,000 signatures.
Coachella is set to take place on April 15th-17th and April 22nd-24th in Indio, Calif. A new headliner will be announced in the coming weeks.
TRAVIS SCOTT'S CACTI SELTZER BRAND DISCONTINUED BY ANHEUSER-BUSCH
In other news, Anheuser-Busch has decided to pull Travis Scott's hard seltzer from shelves in the wake of the Astroworld music festival tragedy. According to The New York Post, the beverage brand said in a statement, “After careful evaluation, we have decided to stop all production and brand development of CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer. We believe brand fans will understand and respect this decision.”
Travis' rep responded to the new saying that the rapper is “not focused on business right now.” The rep said, “His priority is helping his community and fans heal. CACTI asked AB InBev to inform their wholesalers there will not be product at this time.”
