A new study has shown that people run slower when they listen to Drake. Pour Moi performed a study that analyzed the date of 60 runs completed by a group of joggers who listened to a different artist for each session. The study showed runners ran the fastest to Beyoncé, shaving two minutes 45 seconds off their three-mile run, and the slowest to Drake.
Runners who jogged to Drizzy experienced a 6% increase in their running time. This means in the course of a marathon, listening to Drake could add almost 15 minutes to a runner’s final time.
In addition to Drake, people who run while listening to Doja Cat added an additional 25 seconds to a three-mile run and listening to Nicki Miinaj was shown to add an additional one minute and 24 seconds to a runner’s final marathon time.
