Elle King's first official country radio single, “Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home),” is a bonafide hit. The duet, which features Miranda Lambert, sits just outside the Top 10 on the country charts this week, proving Elle's theory that good music is good music and is capable of crossing multiple formats.
She tells us: “When I wrote 'Drunk,' when 'Drunk' started, this was in my like rock, alt, could-be-pop days, and so the fact that it is being accepted by country fans is proof right there that it's like there is no formula to make something in a genre work, and it's us singing about something that everyone can relate to in the pop world, in the rock world, in the country world.”
“Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)” was already a Top 10 hit on the rock charts. The song will be featured on Elle's upcoming project.
She kicks off her 2022 Drunk And I Don’t Wanna Go Home Tour on February 15th in San Diego, CA.
