JAY-Z WINS LEGAL BATTLE AGAINST PERFUME COMPANY: Jay Z has come out victorious in his legal war with the perfume company Parlux, who sued him over his now-defunct fragrance. According to TMZ, Parlux sued the music icon in 2016, claiming that he failed to promote his cologne Gold Jay Z when it dropped in 2013. They were seeking $18 million, but yesterday an appellate court ruled that Jay Z is entitled to the $4.5 million in royalties from past cologne sales which he had requested during the trial last fall. The jury cleared Jay-Z from paying the perfume brand but rejected his royalties demand.

DRAKEO THE RULER'S BROTHER SUES MUSIC FESTIVAL PROMOTERS: According to TMZ, Drakeo The Ruler's brother is suing the promoters behind the music festival where he was fatally stabbed. In the suit, Drakeo's brother claimed that the rapper's life was in jeopardy the moment he arrived at the Once Upon a Time festival concert in December, claiming that there was a lack of security. The court docs say that Drakeo was attacked within minutes arriving, describing it as a “violent mob attack” that lasted up to 15 minutes. Drake's brother and others are suing Live Nation, Snoop Dogg's LLC and the Los Angeles Football Club for millions in damages.
