Justin Bieber has requested the dismissal of a defamation lawsuit he filed against two women who accused him of sexual assault.
According to court records obtained by Rolling Stone, his lawyer submitted the voluntary dismissal in Los Angeles court last Friday (March 18th). The “Peaches” singer originally filed the lawsuit in 2020 against two women who had accused him of sexual assault on Twitter.
As previously reported, one woman, who identified herself as Danielle, claimed on Twitter that the singer sexually assaulted her on March 9, 2014 at the Four Seasons hotel in Austin, Texas. The second woman, Khadidja Djibrine, tweeted that the singer assaulted her in New York City in May 2015.
Bieber called the allegations “outlandish false fabrications” in his original filing. He was seeking over $20 million in damages, $10 million for each of the stories.
