According to a report from TMZ, veteran rapper Kidd Creole from Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five has been convicted in the stabbing death of a homeless man.
Alvin L. Bragg Jr., a Manhattan District Attorney, announced on Wednesday (April 6th) that a New York Supreme Court jury found the rapper guilty of first-degree manslaughter.
Kidd Creole was arrested and charged for the incident in August of 2017.
He reportedly walked past the homeless man on the street, exchanged words with him before turning around, having a confrontation and stabbing him twice in the torso with a steak knife.
Prosecutors say that a group of tourists found the homeless man's body minutes after the altercation.
He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
