KANYE WEST DELAYS YEEZY-GAP X BALENCIAGA COLLECTION DUE TO UVALDE SCHOOL SHOOTING: Kanye West has decided to delay his new Yeezy-Gap x Balenciaga collection out of respect for the victims of the tragic school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Yeezy-Gap said in a statement, “In light of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, we are postponing the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga launch until Friday, May 27th. As we pause, our hearts go out to the families and communities impacted.”
SNOOP DOGG SAYS HE FAINTED AFTER SEEING TUPAC IN THE HOSPITAL: During an interview on Logan Paul's “Impaulsive” podcast, Snoop Dogg revealed that he fainted after seeing Tupac in the hospital afer he was shot in a driveby shooting Las Vegas back in September 1996. Snoop said, “We feeling like it’s gonna be alright until we go to the hospital and see that it ain’t alright. He got tubes in him.” He continued, “When I walked in, I could just feel like he wasn’t even there and I fainted. Then his mother got me up and walked me in the bathroom and had a conversation with me about being strong. She was like, ‘My baby ain’t never seen you weak. I don’t want you to be weak in front of him. You go in the bathroom and fix yourself up and you go back in there and you talk to him and you tell him how you feel. My baby loves you.'” Snoop added, “She knew there was a little tension, but she knew how much we loved each other. So she gave us a moment for me to say some things to him as far as how much I love him. But I knew that that was gonna be my last time speaking with him.” Tupac died days later on September 7th, 1996. He was 25 years old.
DRAKE HELPED J. COLE GET CONTRACT WITH CANADIAN BASKETBALL TEAM: Reports say that Drake actually helped J. Cole get signed to the Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. According to Complex, Drake's friend and founding member of OVO Nicholas “OVO Niko” Corino is a co-owner of the Shooting Stars and while at a party in Los Angeles last year, Cole and Drake ran in to each other which led to a conversation about the Shooting Stars. Corino said, “You know, Dreamville and OVO are family. Drake had a birthday party in L.A. last year. The conversation was, ‘I heard you have your team.’ It organically grew from there.”
ICE-T FIRES BACK AT FAN WHO CLAIMED HE 'SOLD OUT': Ice-T went back and forth with a Twitter user yesterday (May 25th) after the user labeled the rap icon a sell-out. In response, called him a “bum,” saying, “CLASSIC ICE COLD FACT: ‘Don’t worry about what people Think about you… Cause they probably don’t Think about you that much anyway…'” Meanwhile, Ice-T and his wife Coco also reacted to the backlash they received because they used a stroller for their 6-year-old daughter Chanel. Ice T responded to an article from CNN, writing, “Lol… CNN? Really?” He added, “MFs ain’t got s–t else to talk about. F em all. Smh. Lol.”
LIL KEED LAID TO REST IN ATLANTA: Rapper Lil Keed was laid to rest yesterday (May 25th) in Atlanta. The rapper passed away earlier this month after experiencing severe stomach pain. The pain became so severe that he was taken to the hospital, which is where his liver and kidneys reportedly began to fail. Keed was 24.
