Maneskin released a video for “Supermodel.” Filmed in London, it pays tribute to some of the band's favorite films from the 1990’s.
After they came up with the idea, they worked to recreate frame shots and sequences from the movies. Frontman Damiano David said, “We had so much fun filming it in London, playing funny scenes that reminded us of a detective B-movie.”
The song itself is loosely based on characters they met while in Los Angeles
About that, the band said, “At times we were surprised yet intrigued to find how people cared so much about the idea of ‘celebrity’ and status, obsessing over their looks and connections.”
They described the video as a cinematic visual that’s one part Tarantino and one part Hitchcock. It captures the song’s fierce mood and playful lyrics as a series of catastrophic events unfold.
