KODAK BLACK ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF 31 OXYCODONEPILLS: Kodak Black was arrested near Fort Lauderdale on Friday (July 15th) after being pulled over for having illegally dark window tints. He was reportedly driving a Dodge Durango with an expired license and expired plates. According to TMZ, cops searched the rappers vechicle after smelling marijuana and found 31 oxycodone pills and over $74,000 cash uncovered. Black was arrested on first degree felony charges. He was held at Broward County jail before posting his $75,000 bond. Kodak Black's lawyer Bradford Cohen released a statement on the matter, saying, “Never Judge a case based on an arrest. There are always additional facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We will get him a bond today and move forward with resolving the matter quickly." Meanwhile, Kodak was mistaken for Flavor Flav as he bonded out of jail. Fans yelled at the rapper, "Ayeeee Flavor Flav, wassup?!"
NBA YOUNGBOY FOUND NOT GUILTY IN FEDERAL GUN CASE: On Friday (July 15th), NBA Youngboy was found not guilty in his federal gun case. As previously reported, the rapper was charged with illegal firearms possession over a loaded handgun that was found in his car last year. A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles told the site, "We believe the evidence presented in this case supported the charges brought by the grand jury. While we are disappointed with the verdict, we respect the jury’s decision." Meanwhile, YoungBoy's attorney Andre Belanger said that the rapper put his head down and started to cry when the verdict was read. He added that it's been a stressful and emotional situation. He also said that the rapper said, "I was never guilty of this."
GUNNA SPEAKS WITH HIS GODSON ON A VIDEO CALL FROM PRISON: A clip surfaced online of Gunna on a video call with his god son. The 29-year old rapper was smiling at the little boy and the young woman with the little boy said, "He's like, 'What's going on?'" Gunna responded, "Sounds like a real playa doe." Gunna, along with Young Thug and other YSL associates are in Fulton Country jail on a 56 count gang indictment. Gunna will be in jail until his trial starts in January 2023.
