Lamb of God hit the road on Friday (September 9th) for their six week trek, The Omens Tour. The first stop was in Coney Island, Brooklyn. When asked how it feels to be back on the road, frontman D. Randall Blythe said, “When asked if the band was enjoying being on tour in the UK, Blythe said, “Oh yeah absolutely, but that pretty much started in the states. It’s been good to be able to travel . . . because this is the first festival they’ve had over here . . . the shows have been really awesome.”
Blythe also revealed that “Nevermore” and “Grayscale,” the two tracks from their upcoming album Omens, will be part of the tour, saying, “Right now we're on the road and we're playing the first two singles most nights…That'll be the interesting thing because we'll be able to see what works. That's one of the most interesting things to me about putting out a new record is trying stuff out live and seeing what connects with an audience.”
In addition to the album and tour Lamb of God has announced an October 6th streaming premiere of The Making of Omens, a short documentary about the making of the new album which was recorded earlier this year at Henson Studios in Los Angeles.
The band’s new album Omens is due out on October 7th.
