NOSEY HEAUX APOLOGIZES FOR MAKING COMMENTS ABOUT RAPPER’S SON AMID DEFAMATION LAWSUIT: Nosey Heaux, the blogger that Nicki Minaj is suing the blogger for defamation, after she made comments about the rapper and her son. Nosey, born Marley Green, tweeted an apology to the rapper, saying, “During a few of my live shows I made a comment about Nicki Minaj’s son. I was under a lot of stress and pressure at the time. LIL UZI VERT’S ARTIST LOTTA CASH DESTO SHOT AND KILLED IN HOUSTON: According to Complex via FOX 3, Memphis rapper Lotta Cash Desto was shot and killed in Houston early Saturday morning (September 25th) in West Houston. The rapper — who was affiliated with Lil Uzi Vert, was driving a Porsche SUV with at least one passenger. Once cops arrived at the scene, cops found two women with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. One of the victims—presumably Lotta was immediately pronounced dead; while the other woman was transported to the hospital. A male shooting victim was reportedly found nearby, and taken to a medical facility in a private vehicle. The Houston Police Department said the two individuals—believed to be in the early 20s—sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and are expected to survive. Cops are currently searching for two suspects in connection with the shooting.
REPORT: GUNNA DENIED BOND DUE TO GEORGIA DA’S BELIEF HE WAS INVOLVED IN TWO MURDER: Criminal journalist George Chidi spoke to Vlad TV about the ongoing YSL gang indictment. Chidi revealed the reason Gunna’s bond was denied twice, saying, “In court, the District Attorney's office argued that Gunna was somehow involved and they were deliberately vague, involved in two murders related to a crips gang in South Fulton called the Shady Park Crips.” He continued, “I can’t figure out which murders they’re talking about, or how Gunna might be involved. I can’t find the agency that’s investigating that because it’s not the South Fulton police. They have categorically denied knowing anything about a connection between Gunna and their neighbourhood crip crew. It blindsided them as well.”
DDG SHARES VALEDICTORIAN SPEECH AFTER BEING CALLED OUT FOR COMMENTS ABOUT RACISM: Rapper DDG posted his valedictorian speech this past weekend in response to the backlash he received about comments he made about racism. During an interview with Bootleg Kev, when asked about the backlash his girlfriend Halle Bailey received for her role in The Little Mermaid, he said, “I didn't know people was this racist. I didn't know this… I thought this sh*t was gone already. I thought this sh*t was gone. I thought Martin Luther King canceled this sh*t out . . . This sh*t is crazy.” In response to the backlash, he posted his speech, along with the caption, “I let these mfs think I'm stupid… Album September 30.”
SWIZZ BEATZ AND TIMBALAND REACHES SETTLEMENT WITH TRILLER: Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have settled their lawsuit with Triller. The two sued the company a month ago for $28 million. The large lump sum of money was allegedly owed after their sale of Verzuz to the service back in March of 2021. In a statement, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland said: “Verzuz has always been a platform that is by the artists, for the artists and with the people.”
They added: “We’re glad to come to an amicable agreement with Triller and continue giving fans the music and community that they’ve come to know and love from the brand.” Bobby Sarnevesht, Triller’s executive chairman and co-founder said in a statement, “Verzuz and Triller will always be a safe place and outlet for creators and their art. Nothing will change that.” He added, “Nothing will change that. Creators started this and will continue building it. This is a victorious moment in the Triller and Verzuz relationship as we march together toward the public markets. Stay tuned.”
