During a recent radio interview, Tory Lanez avoided answering any questions about his alleged run in with August Alsina. As previously reported, Alsina claimed that he was attacked by Lanez after he refused to speak to him backstage at a concert that they both performed at in Chicago.
When asked about the incident, Lanez said, “Look man, like I said, I’m here to just answer about the album.” When asked if there was an open investigation with the LAPD regarding the incident, he said, “Again. Couldn’t tell you. Don’t know. But you know, like I said I’m here for the album and positivity.”
He continued, “Don’t get me wrong, I’m always here to answer all the questions and stuff but I’m really here just preaching positivity today, like you know, everything that’s been going on in my life and the things that’s been going on around me, I just try to keep positive. You know, so no disrespect, I’m just not here to talk about that.”
When asked if he knew that he and August had issues, he replied, “Nah just generally speaking regardless I don’t have a problem with anybody and I wrote for him before this, it’s not one of those.”
When asked if he thought the issues arose from his freestyle addressing Alsina and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s “entanglement,” he said, “Again. I like how we’re doing this but like I said I’m here to talk about the album. I like where you guys are going with it.”
He continued, “The thing about it is, I can never be upset about someone’s opinion. When there’s people who have opinions it’s like whatever they thought at the time, was just whatever they were feeling at the time and I know that a lot of people’s opinions have changed up and down about me and it’s not of me to be a judge or be God or to be playing God’s role and judging people, I forgive everybody. I don’t forget but I forgive.”
He continued, “I’m about this money, you know what I’m saying. I’m about getting to the money. I’m about getting to the business. I don’t hold negative feelings about anything anybody said about me. Like I said, I don’t forget that you said it but to not forgive you is just bitter and I’m not a bitter hearted person.”
TORY LANEZ SEEMINGLY ADDRESSES MEGAN THEE STALLION SHOOTING
Tory also seemingly addressed the alleged Megan Thee Stallion shooting, saying, “There’s always a time when a story will come out about Tory Lanez and the narrative will be wild. Ya’ll got to understand, as much I would like to tell ya’ll the narrative, I can’t. I’m not allowed to. I’m in an open case.”
On being blackballed after the alleged incident, he said, “I know that a lot of people’s opinions have changed, up and down, about me. It’s not of me to be a judge or be playing God’s role in judging people. I forgive everybody. I don’t forget, but I forgive.”
