DRAKE CONFIRMS HE WAS PAID $100 TO OPEN FOR ICE CUBE: Back in 2006, Drake opened for Ice Cube and performed songs from his first mixtape “Room for Improvement.” The Flyer Vault Instagram page posted an invoice form the show, along with the caption, “On August 19, 2006, Ice Cube headlined the Kool Haus with supporting act Drake in what was likely his first ever concert. The Boy got paid a handsome sum of $100 and performed cuts from his debut mixtape ‘Room For Improvement’ which was released earlier that year. Classic history.”Drake shared the invoice to his IG Story, and captioned it, “This is for anybody getting 100 a show right now… keep going.”
NICKI MINAJ WORRIES ABOUT HOW HER CAREER WILL AFFECT HER SON: During her chat with Jada Pinkett Smith for Interview Magazine, Nicki Minaj revealed that she worries about how her career with affect her son. She recalled a time that her mom left her in Trinidad for a year and a half and how it affected her as a child. She explained, “In fact, right before I came to the States, my mother had to come to Trinidad because I had to have an operation. And when I opened my eyes from the operation, and I was maybe 3 years old going on 4, I started crying because I didn’t know who this lady was.” He continued, “I was crying at the side of my mother, and I started begging my cousin, who was a teenager, to come be in the room with me because that’s who I had gotten attached to in the year-and-a-half prior, you know? So I’m reliving all of those things now because I’m afraid that my son will ever feel that I left him for anything, for any reason, and for any amount of time.”
JUDGE THREATENS TO ARREST PEOPLE HAVING OUTBURTS AFTER GUNNA WAS DENIED BOND: A video has surfaced online of Judge Ural Glanville threatening to arrest people having outbursts during Gunna's latest bond hearing. During the hearing, the rapper was denied bond for the third time, which caused a small uproar. The Judge responded, “The only thing I can potentially do, like I said, I will try the case as expeditiously as possible. But at this point in time, I don't find any change in circumstances that would allow me or move me to change my decision as to bond.” He continued, “If anybody is in the gallery and you can't otherwise control yourself, or otherwise you want to make inappropriate comments, then you can leave at this point in time. No harm will come or nothing else will occur.”
50 CENT SPEAKS ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS ESTRANGED SON: During a radio interview, 50 Cent opened up about his strained relationship with his son Marquise Jackson. Marquise recently said that he wanted to meet with his dad in hopes of reconciling. 50 responded, saying,”No he doesn’t… you would call me. You don’t call TMZ to say you want to sit down. Think about it, man. You know, he wants some attention, and it’s okay he can have as much of that as he wants.” He continued, “When I said that he’s entitled, really it’s his Mom’s entitlement but it’s been filtered. I told you I was giving her half a million dollars a year, they go through the paperwork they see half a million dollars a year. At that point, she still was expecting more. This is why I took her to child support. You don’t usually sign up for child support, like, I took myself to child support. Because she wasn’t understanding that I’m already giving you more than you’re supposed to get…It’s never going to be enough.”
