DR. DRE INDUCTS EMINEM INTO THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME: Dr. Dre inducted Eminem into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this past weekend. Dre talked about being blown away by Eminem's demo tape when he heard it over 20 years ago and not knowing Eminem was white. He explained, “A few days later, Jimmy called me up, and he said raises voice pitch, “Hey, Dre. You know, he’s a white guy, right?” Completely f**king me up. The last thing I was thinking about when I was listening to the music was that he was a white guy. It never even crossed my mind. But looking back, I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind. He certainly didn’t sound like a Black rapper, especially because of what he was saying. I guess it was my ignorance at the time, thinking that, “OK, if you’re a really good rapper, you must be Black.”
