Wayne Brady took a moment to pay tribute to Migos rapper Takeoff at last night's (November 20th) American Music Awards 2022. Brady said, “We recently lost Kirsnick Khari Ball, better known as Takeoff, one-third of the groundbreaking hip-hop group Migos.”
He continued, “On behalf of all of us that love hip-hop all around the world, we thank you, Takeoff, for your artistry, and tonight, we honor your memory.”
Takeoff was shot and killed at 810 Billards & Bowling in Houston, Texas earlier this month. No arrests have been made.
Brady added, “We have to stop this senseless and terrible gun violence,” also referencing the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Saturday Night (November 19th).
