Ye has revealed that the IRS froze his bank accounts for owing $50 million in taxes. During an appearance on the Timecast IRL podcast, Ye said, “I’m talking about literally finding out that they were trying to put me in prison this morning. But I found out — okay, so they froze, they put a $75 million hold on four of my accounts.” He added, “And then they said, you owe a lot of taxes. Took me like six hours to find out how much. A lot — was it — well, around $50 million."
In other news, although Ye has claimed that Donald Trump told him that he freed former federal prisoner Alice Marie Johnson because of his relationship with him, but Johnson says she doesn't agree. According to TMZ, Johnson said that if it weren't for Kim, she would still be in prison. Johnson said Kardashian leveraged a relationship she had with Ivanka Trump to make a case for her release. She added that Kim spent hours on the phone with Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, pleading her case. Once Kardashian convinced Kusher, she met with Donald Trump to push for Johnson’s release.
