Gavin Rossdale is being sued by Bush’s original drummer Robin Goodridge. The former bandmember claims he was kicked out of the group abruptly and without cause.
Blast reports that Goodridge agreed to join Rossdale for Bush’s 25th anniversary tour in 2019 but was booted from the band before its first stop. According to the drummer’s lawsuit, Rossdale refused to pay him for any of the tour’s profits and violated Bush’s trademark agreement.
In addition to damages, Goodridge is seeking a permanent injunction enjoining Rossdale and Bush, Inc. from using the trademark Bush.
The band's original lineup, Rossdale, Goodridge, guitarist Nigel Pulsford and bassist Dave Parsons parted ways in 2001, but according to the court filing, each founding member maintains 25% of the registered trademark “Bush.”
