Michael Ray's new EP, Dive Bars & Broken Hearts, includes a duet featuring Meghan Patrick. The song is called “Spirits & Demons,” and according to Michael, he searched far and wide to find the perfect voice to join him on the track.
He said, “We went through so many thoughts and names; they were all great, but nobody felt quite right, and it’s funny, because the answer was right under my nose. I’ve been friends with Meghan for years, in the way you’ve got your ‘Hey, I’m off the road. Wanna grab a beer?’ friends when you’re home for two or three days . . . Meghan’s not only a friend and a great hang, no matter who’s around, she’s got a voice that can blister concrete . . .”
Meghan is also married to one of Michael's friends and fellow artists, Mitchell Tenpenny.
Dive Bars & Broken Hearts is due out on June 23rd.
