Researchers used information from 23andMe and UK Biobank’s databases and discovered a genetic link between coffee consumption. However, genes linked to higher coffee consumption were also connected to conditions like obesity and substance abuse. So should you stop drinking coffee? Because there are many factors, like caffeine levels and calorie content, there’s not yet a cut-and-dry answer.
