California police have detained two men who are suspected of impersonating Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in order to rob unsuspecting victims. Investigators claim that Vasile Alexandru and Laurentiu Baceanu targeted Hispanic victims, spoke in Spanish, and flashed a badge before robbing them. Impersonating a federal agent is punishable by up to three years in prison. Anaheim police suspect that additional victims might be out there. Sergeant Jon McClintock urges victims to come forward regardless of immigration status. “We will not inquire about their [citizenship],” he said. (newser)
