Flights out of Incheon, South Korea were delayed Wednesday morning after balloons, presumably sent over from North Korea, drifted into the area. Three runways were temporarily shut down after a balloon landed near Terminal 2. About 1,500 such balloons have landed in South Korea since May. They tend to contain paper, garbage, human waste, dirt, worms, and slashed clothing. The balloons could be a response to anti-North Korea broadcasts launched by South Korea. Activists have sent leaflets, messages, and K-pop music to the notoriously isolated nation. (newser)
