Researchers in India have discovered that online daters have trouble figuring out who is real and who is not. This is in part due to how easy it is to edit photos. “Constant exposure to sexually stimulating or attractive content creates certain perceptions of reality in the young mindset,” Chayan Munshi of the Ethophilia Research Foundation said. To reach these conclusions, researchers analyzed a survey of 18 to 30-year-olds in India. More than half of those polled experienced confusion when picking a life partner, and women were likely to be more confused than men. While there might be plenty of fish in the sea, the constant rush of seeing highly attractive people just might be distorting your reality. In short: Don’t fall in love with filters! (StudyFinds)
