American scientists pitted two popular weight-loss injections against one another to see which was more effective, and Mounjaro came out on top. The study included more than 18,000 adults who had weekly injections for up to a year. Patients who took tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Mounjaro, were 224% more likely to lose a sixth of their body weight. 60% of those who took Mounjaro lost 10% of their body weight. Just under 40% of those taking Ozempic lost the same body weight percentage. Both medications mimic hormones that tell the brain that it’s full. Mounjaro side effects include vomiting, constipation, and nausea. (dailymail.co.uk)
