The average American is tired 1,460 hours a year, a survey of 2,000 adults found. 31% of respondents say they feel tired even more than average. 58% say their tiredness prevents them from enjoying life. Those with chronic illnesses like diabetes or hypertension are more likely to say their fatigue gets in the way of social interactions. “Occasional tiredness can often be managed with better sleep habits and lifestyle changes, but fatigue is a persistent exhaustion that could signal underlying health issues,” Dr. Maggie Williams with MD Live said. “Despite using words like ‘tired’ and ‘exhausted’ interchangeably, there are distinct and clinical differences between tiredness and fatigue.” (swnsdigital)
