Only 18% of Americans have “quite a lot” of confidence that a four-year university education is worth the money. “Lower confidence ratings in four-year institutions and concerns about the cost and value of the degrees they provide may partially explain these declining ratings,” Gallup researchers noted. But which colleges are worth the money? Community colleges have been seeing an increase in enrollment, and studies show that Americans favor the idea of a college education when the cost and time commitments are lower.
