Two Ohio women have pleaded guilty to propping up a corpse in a car so they could withdraw money from the deceased’s bank account through a drive-thru window. Karen Casbohm and Loreen Bea Feralo have been in custody since March after being arrested for mishandling the remains of Douglas Layman, who lived with the women when he was alive. On March 4th, the pair took Layman’s body to a drive-thru window of a U.S. Bank and withdrew $900. The bank teller was unaware that the customer was not alive, and allowed the transaction to go through. Casbohm and Feralo then dropped the man off at a medical center. (The Smoking Gun)
