Thieves in China are using a concerning tactic: Lifelike silicone face masks. These realistic products, which can be made from photos or 3D scans, are widely available online. In March, four homes in Shanghai were broken into, and the main suspect used such a mask to disguise himself as an old man. Another suspect allegedly disguised as an electrician also used a realistic mask to invade homes in Jiangsu. “The key is in regulating their use,” lawyer Liu Jiong said. “Relevant authorities should grade the realism of face masks.” (Oddity Central)
