39% of Americans feel stuck living where they are, and rising housing costs may be to blame. A survey of 2,000 adults found that 58% have seen a rise in such costs over the past five years. One-third of Americans regularly think about their dream home. The modern “dream home”, according to respondents, is a single family home with about 2,400 square feet of space. Aspiring homeowners crave bedrooms for each family member, central air, and a yard. “If you look back just a few years, people wanted pools and home theaters,” Tanner Dieterich said. “Now, data shows they prefer practicality.” (swnsdigital)
