Americans watch 50% more internationally produced content, including TV and books, than they were five years ago. A poll of 2,000 Americans found that consumers don’t always know they’re enjoying internationally-sourced content. Only 62% knew that “House of Cards” premiered overseas, and 58% didn’t know that “All Quiet on the Western Front” wasn’t originally written in English. 42% of Gen Zers are enthusiastic about international content compared to 21% of boomers. “If you haven’t recently, we encourage readers to explore different perspectives by picking up a book from a foreign author. Manga in particular could open your eyes to a whole new world,” Barbara Hagen of ThriftBooks said. (swnsdigital)
