Only 22% of high school graduates feel “very prepared” for life, a poll of 1,000 recent grads and 1,000 parents found. 24% plan on entering the workforce right away, 21% are planning to attend a two-year college, and half are planning to go to a four-year college. 36% say they wish they would have learned more about post-high school life while they were still in school. 37% wanted more exposure to job skills. “It’s important that schools adjust, changing their methods and their lesson plans to focus on individual students and what their post-high school plans might be,” Shellie Hanes of Learn4Life said.
