Fugitive Wanted For Ohio Shooting Hid In Mexico As A Police Officer

A fugitive who was wanted in Ohio for his alleged involvement in a 2004 shooting has been found working as a police officer in Mexico. Antonio Riano, now 72, was finally arrested almost 20 years after the fatal incident. Riano allegedly shot then 25-year-old Benjamin Becarra and fled the country. Long after the case went cold, Riano, also known as “El Diablo”, was spotted in Mexico working as an officer of the law. Riano claims he became a cop “to help the people of Mexico” and maintains his innocence. Riano was handed over to American authorities, who brought him back to Cincinnati. (CBS News)
