A New Zealand charity unknowingly gave away candies made of meth to up to 400 people. The candies were donated to the Auckland City Mission, and authorities currently believe the donor was unaware of the candy’s contents. Three people were hospitalized after eating the candies, which contained up to 300 times the amount of meth someone would normally take. The treats had a street value of $608 per candy, and were packaged in Rinda wrappers. “We want to make it clear that Rinda Food Industries does not use or condone the use of any illegal drugs in our products,” General Manager Steven Teh said. Authorities suspect the candies were originally disguised as candy in order to be transported. (ABC News)
