Social media could perpetuate those body image issues. Dr. Sabrina Romanoff recommends replacing negative thoughts with positive alternatives. “For example, replace the thought ‘I don’t like how I look in a bathing suit,’ with ‘I feel so grateful to be sitting on the beach with my loved one,” she said.
