Starbucks’ newly appointed CEO will travel 1,000 miles from California to Seattle instead of relocating. The company says Brian Niccol, the new head of the company, can live in his Newport Beach California home and commute to Starbucks’ head office on the company’s corporate jet. In Niccol’s new role, he will be paid a base salary of $1.6 million annually, with a possible cash bonus ranging between $3.6 million to $7.2 million depending on his performance. Niccol is also eligible for annual equity awards worth up to $23 million. (CNBC)
