Bald Eagle Declared Too Fat To Fly

A bald eagle thought to be injured was actually just well-fed! The bird, which was found in Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, “was found to be healthy but engorged with raccoon — in other words, too fat to fly,” according to the park’s Facebook page. X-rays of the eagle showed he had recently eaten quite a bit. “The eagle has been rehabilitated and released back into the park,” the Facebook post continued. (UPI)
