The cruise that was supposed to never stop has been trapped in Belfast for three months. The Villa Vie Odyssey was supposed to set out in May to begin its journey to 150 countries, but has been stuck in Northern Ireland due to equipment issues. Passengers are staying nearby until the ship sets sail, although they are allowed to enjoy the ship’s amenities during the day. Villa Vie CEO Mikael Petterson says passengers are provided with shuttles to and from the vessel, and their lodging on land is covered. “We keep teasing we will apply for residency here in Belfast,” would-be traveler Angela Theriac said.
